Light on you Yoga

We are all awaiting the next government announcement and I’m hopeful that socially distanced live yoga classes will be able to resume after the 17th of May.

Of course not everyone will immediately want to return to live classes, and so I plan to run hybrid classes, this means with a mix of students online and in the studio. I enjoyed teaching in this way from September – October last year.

I would also like to reassure those that would like to return. There will be a maximum of 9 people including me, per lesson and COVID cleaning and distancing will be in place. I will do my best to make the studio safe.

With this in mind, I thought I would contact you, as i would like to find out what your plans are;

The options are;

a. You plan to attend a live class at the studio

b. You prefer to continue with online classes

It would be really helpful if you could message me and let me know, could you also consider, which class/es that you plan to attend, and let me know the day and the relevant time.

For the time being you will need to provide your own yoga kit for the studio lessons. Although the studio is fully equipped the sharing of yoga props is not in keeping with Covid guidelines. You should bring as a minimum your own mat, a belt or other strap, a blanket or large towel. Where possible foam blocks and bricks are also advised.

Recently I was contacted by someone who has secondhand equipment for sale, if this is of interest to you please send me a message and I will put you both in touch.

In March 2020 when I started teaching via zoom, I had no idea that a year later studios would remain closed.

It will be great to get back to the space in Burlees house, I haven’t been there since November. I have been in contact with the owners of the building and the name of the room on the listing will be changed to light on you yoga, so it should help you to know which buzzer to press.

It has been a busy year for me, yoga wise. The Zoom platform has enable classes and workshops to be delivered. I have continued with mentoring along with being active on the executive committee for MDIY. This time has also enabled me to attend classes and workshops to further my own study. This weekend Abhijata Iyengar is teaching for IYUK, and I look forward in our classes to sharing with you, my interpretation of her teachings.

Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to continuing our yoga journey together.
