Welcome… To my new website and my first blog. I feel like I have a lot of lovely things to share with you. (umm…I’m not sure ‘goals’ a very yogic word, but anyway) – things to work. When I returned from India last December, I had set myself a couple of goals towards, and although I looked forward to getting on with these goals, I have to say they were always lower down on my list of things to do than my asana practice. I had made a few arrangements towards getting started. One of the goals was to set up a yoga website. At the beginning of July, when my Yoga classes were coming to an end for the summer, I arranged for Justin to take some images of a variety of yoga asanas. My thinking was if I had something visual, it would be a good starting point, for how and what my yoga website should look like. Now in hindsight, I realize that the timing for this couldn’t have been better. I had the images in place. However, at the end of July I found out I had to have an operation, I was quite surprised, to say the least. Now, I’m pondering: do things have their own way of working out, or do we make the best of what we are presented with? While I have been recovering, I’ve had time and no reason not to get stuck in! I engaged the help of Richard @ Zebracow.com and as you will see, if you decide to follow the link, we have been busy. Deciding on a name for the website, ‘Deborah Wilkinson…’ was just too long. My lovely friends and family put up with me messaging daily as I thought of different possibilities! Let me present, www.lightonyouyoga If you already follow me on social media, you may well have noticed I have changed the names on the sites to match. Then to the second aspiration: to look for somewhere suitable for me to teach and run a yoga holiday. I’m delighted as I can now share these details with you.
Tuchelo, a beautiful forested area of Northern Poland, from 25 th May to 1st June 2019. All the details are on the Holiday page of the website – take a look under the Events heading. Please get in contact if you have any questions. Next there is the matter of people, so of course, I would be delighted if you wanted to join me., There’s room for up to 15 lovely folks. Well, a little fewer as I already have a couple signed up!!! (I’m now trying to contain my excitement in a yogic way)
Still a little more, In January I will be running a ‘New Year Yoga Workshop’ from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th at Hebden Therapy Centre, on Valley road. This will be suitable for all levels, whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for some time. The aim will be to explore each posture in more depth. Workshops are generally taught at a slower pace than regular weekly classes, this allows you time to recover in between the postures. We’ll be able to discuss, observe, consider and then with this newfound knowledge try the asana again. As I have already been promoting this event on social media, I only have a few places left. Please contact me if you’re interested. Again there’s more information on the website. All my classes will start back on the 7th January 2019 Thank you for taking the time to read and I would welcome your feedback. Warm wishes Debbie
