If you haven’t had an online class before, I would recommend it. Once class starts I ask everyone mute themselves and to pin me on their screens, so there are no distractions. If you can come closer to the screen to watch I will demonstrate the asana (pose). Return to your mat while I give verbal instructions to follow, at this point you no longer need to see the screen, you just need to listen and follow the instructions as you would in a normal face to face class, while this is happening, I will be watching to ensure that the asanas are being done correctly.
Julie Brown, has organised for MDIY teachers to do a couple of yoga video clips, it was great to get involved, one of them was an online Christmas demo. Below are the links, if you would like to take a look, see if you can spot me;
Thank you, for helping to give 2020 some grounding. I have had a few silver linings and I hope that you have too. My yoga practice has consistently been one of them. I have learnt lots of new skills. Last year I hadn’t even heard of zoom but in March I began teaching online. It’s been wonderful being able to see everyone’s faces, chatting with you all at the beginning and the end of classes. I haven’t been able to go to India as I had originally planned but I have had the great opportunity to have weekly classes and numerous workshops from India and around the world on zoom.
Last but not least… I would like to take this opportunity to say I really appreciate your support, it’s made such a difference and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year
Debbie
