Yoga Journey

From RIMYI in January to Rhoscolyn in May…

What a wonderful way to start the year at RIMYI (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute), especially as they were celebrating their 50th Anniversary with people gathering from all over the world. It was truly lovely to meet so many individuals, all united by a shared passion for yoga.

On my return, I was invited to be part of a live chat for Iyengar Yoga UK called Yoga Space, where we discussed the experience of visiting RIMYI. It’s always so hard to put what I learned into words—partly because it’s a cycle of yoga, eat, sleep, repeat! There is so much to take in, and it will take time to fully absorb. However, I hope to share and express some of what I learned with you while on our yoga mats.

Weekend Yoga Retreat at ‘Outdoor Alternative’

With this inspiration still fresh in me, I’m excited to once again be teaching a weekend at ‘Outdoor Alternative’ on the stunning coastline of Rhoscolyn, Wales, from 9th-11th May. The weekend will be filled with yoga, nourishing food, wonderful company and for those brave enough a swim/dip in the sea. There are still a couple of spots available, so if you’re interested, you can find more information here: https://lightonyouyoga.com/classes/holidays-2024/

Morning Yoga Workshop

5th April 2025

10am-1pm

Saturday, 5th April, Join me for for a morning Yoga Workshop from 10am to 1pm, at a cost of £35. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or new to yoga, this workshop is an opportunity to immerse yourself in your practice. I will guide you through various techniques, adjustments, and share insights I’ve gained from RIMYI. I look forward to weaving these experiences into our time together and helping you deepen your yoga journey.

Pranayama

I’m excited to share that I’ve started a monthly online Pranayama class! The next class will be on 14th March from 7:30-8:30pm. This class is designed to guide you through the practice of breathwork, helping you deepen your awareness to your breath, hopefully both on and off the mat. Whether you’re looking to enhance your yoga practice or simply find moments of calm, this session will offer a supportive space to explore the power of the breath. I look forward to practicing with you online!

Book Group

I also want to let you know about the Yoga Book Group I run, where we explore a chapter at a time from the book ‘Light on Life’ by BKS Iyengar. Each chapter is stand-alone, so you can join at any point, even if you haven’t attended previous sessions. Our next meeting will be on 30th March, and you can join us in person or online. For those attending in person, there’s usually cake to enjoy, and I’m hopeful that the rhubarb will be ready to pick! It’s a great opportunity to dive deeper into the teachings of yoga, share insights, and connect with others on this path. I’d love for you to join us!

Thank you for taking the time, which I know is precious, to read this. I truly appreciate your support and am grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you. If you’d like to stay in touch or learn more, feel free to follow me on social media:
